Morgan's Westside Weekend

This weekend, I celebrated my dear Morgan Beerbohm's upcoming wedding with a Bachelorette party and shower. We rented an adorable house near Forestville and enjoyed a jammed packed weekend of celebration. Here are a few of the 500 pictures, starting with Morgan, Meredith, Jenny and I enjoying lunch at Monti's in Montgomery Village.

Enjoying ciders at the Ace in the Hole Cider Pub in Sebastopol.

Playing our adult version of Pictionary...best game ever!

Taking a tour at Korbel winery.

Dinner on Saturday night at the house.

The Ursuline High School girls from the beautiful bridal shower that Lisa held on Sunday.

While I was out having fun with the girls, Damon was hard at work moving 20 yards of top soil into the backyard. This upcoming weekend we will be ready to put in the new grass....the end is almost here!

Go Giants!

Today my girlfriends and I went to the Giants game. It was nice to get out of the backyard and out from behind my laptop working on my thesis project. And the best part was that Barry Bonds hit home run number 740! Whhooohoooo!!!

Here are some pictures of Morgan, Meredith, Brooklyn, Lisa and I. Thanks to Morgan for organizing the fun day in the sun :)

Breaking New Ground

We broke new ground last weekend in the backyard...literally and figuratively. On the literal side, things are looking great outside, we only have a few more weekends left of drainage, top soil and laying new sod. On the figurative side, my parents helped us outside on Sunday in an attempt to make up the lack of work from the rain on Saturday. And the big news is that my mom used a shovel!
While the boys worked, my mom and I spend the morning shopping at Target (some of our good deals are shown below) and then the afternoon working. She was NOT into having her photo taken, but my dad and I became instant paparazzi and here are the results:

Thank you mom and dad for helping us out....the four of us appreciate it!

Here is Shasta eating an Easter doggie treat...gotta love the 90% off sale of Easter products!

A new toy from the Bargain Bin at Target...we will see how long it lasts with Cy and Shasta's playing tactics!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone! We had a great family weekend beginning with my dad helping Damon in the yard on Saturday. The hard work was all worth it when he got to snuggle on the couch with Shasta.

Then, Alicia and Geoff arrived for the weekend. Alicia was so excited to play Super Mario Brothers on Damon's Nintendo from 1984 (when I was 2). My parents never let my sister or I buy an Nintendo, Game Boy or any other wildly crazy game. So, we went back to our childhood and played for several hours this weekend. It really is quite addicting.

This morning we went to Calistoga for an egg hunt with my little twin cousins, Brianna and Calista. Afterwards we headed to the cabin to spend time with my moms side of the family. Overall, it was a fun day. However, our baby girl is very sick and we are worried about her. Hopefully she gets better during the night, otherwise she will be headed to the doctor in the morning. As always, here are some pictures of our weekend.

Cy and Shasta playing with the Easter toys.

Apparently, Shasta wants Geoff to share his beer with her.

A view of the ever exciting Super Mario Brothers...my sister played until 4:30 in the morning!

Here is a cute picture of Damon with my Uncle Hugh's new puppy, Rocky...he was super small and super soft.

How cute are Brianna and Calista?

Okay, for those of you who know my dad...the picture below is priceless. Whenever my dad is ready to leave (and is loosing his patience waiting for one of his three girls) he gives "the sign." He points his right index finger in the air and gives it a couple of quick circles. "The sign" is well known in our family and friend circles. Obviously, Damon gets a kick out of this. He mimics the gesture...although he does it with a laughing smile on his face and nobody takes him as seriously.

I think I am going to have to frame this picture!

At the cabin, watching my dad deep fry fresh Striper fish.

Best picture ever of Alicia and Geoff.

I hope that everyone enjoyed the beautiful day surrounded by beautiful people.

A Fun Tuesday Night

On Tuesday night, Damon and I packed up the kids to go up to the ranch. As always, it was a beautiful evening at sunset. We spent time in the barn unloading firewood, so, of course I had to take some photos of the stunning backdrop where my Damon grew up.

Shasta has grown so much lately, last week she weighed 24 pounds and, although she is still tiny, the doctor's aren't concerned about her being to skinny. Who would have thought that my "daughter" would ever be told to gain weight?
