J Vineyards Bubble Room

Last Saturday, my parents watched Cambrie for me while I wined and dined at J Vineyards celebrating Tate's 10 month birthday.  Last March, Tenaya gave birth to her beautiful second son, Tate.  And Jen and I were both in the room supporting her with our friendship (and, in my case, with my camera capturing the moments of the day.)   Tenaya set up a special day for us to celebrate.

It was a great time to leave the kiddos at home, and if this rainbow on my way to the winery was an indication, it was going to be a lovely day.

The Bubble room is really beautiful, with great windows views, and it was surprisingly busy.  We had a quite little corner and we were able to carry on our own conversation without interruption.  The day included four courses with 7 servings of red and white wine, plus some bubbly at the end :)

The food and presentation was beyond beautiful...

After our two hour tasting, we headed next door to Rodney Strong for another tasting before our taxi driver (aka: Tenaya's husband) picked us up and drove us home.  We each purchased a few bottles of wine for us to enjoy at a later date and to remember the fun memories of the day.

Cambrie's Actual Birthday

After all of the celebrating on Saturday, we still had a few celebrations lined up on her actual birthday.  In the morning we headed to the standby restaurant, Marvins, for some birthday grub after the sugar rush of Saturday's party.   Cambrie's favorite toy to play with is still my wallet, she always goes right for the money :)

During the afternoon we headed over to Bodega Bay for a crab feed with our families.  It was a super crowded and loud hall and Cambrie loved the people watching, as usual.

Cambrie also loves my camera, typically she smiles for it and she often likes to take pictures with it, like this one of Damon...

Big girl drinking out of a straw cup :)

Cambrie's favorite part of the meal was dessert, her and Damon are definitely one of the same with their love for ice cream.

Although it was a low key day in comparison to the day before, we all had a great time celebrating Miss C's first birthday.

Our First Year Photos Comparison

Cambrie looked exactly like Damon when she was a newborn and I still think she looks alot like what he looks like today. Here is Damon at one year old...isn't the blond hair crazy?

Based on these pictures below, I do think that Cambrie and I look very similar at our one year mark. I think that we are more similar both at our one year than what comparing what I look compared to her currently.

Damon and I are in amazement that this adorable little girl is all ours. We still just stare at her perfectly beautiful face and smile. Regardless of who she resembles throughout her life she is our perfect adorable daughter.

The First Birthday Party - Part Three

Here is a picture of Casen completing the picture for Cambrie's ABC book. The Straub family selected page F and drew pictures of a Friends and then signed the bottom. So fun!!

Walking outside with Mimi...

and cuddling with Dada...

C just loved her blabla owl doll, she was oh so excited about him. I love her love for life.

In all, it was a beyond fabulous day. It couldn't have gone any better and we are so thankful for all of the support from our friends and family. Cambrie is one lucky little lady!

The First Birthday Party - Part Two

We were so lucky to have nice weather during the party, it was great for the little kids to be able to burn off some energy and to spread out the 50 people that were at our house :)

My sweet snuggly niece Charlotte...

I tried to take pictures with everyone before they left, I had about a 50% success rate. But, I am super thankful for the ones that we were able to capture.

Ryanne was so excited to give Cambrie a birthday cake for her new play kitchen. And Cambrie promptly tried to eat the candles :)

Love this picture!

Clapping with her friend Trenton...

Tyler took a fondness to my Aunt Susan - I don't blame him, she is a fun lady to be around.

Heehee, I love James' face in this picture, he is looking at Cambrie and I like 'who are you goofy ladies?'
