Camping at the KOA

Back in May we had the first of 3 (maybe even 4) camping trips in 2 months...we started out close at our usual Petaluma KOA.  C loves the trailer and is very helpful in leveling it and getting everything safe for us.  She also decided to decorate it with a school spirit sticker too :)

On Friday night we just hung out without any visitors and C drew us this great picture of the trailer!

Lots of scooter time up and down the hills, such good practice for her.

Not sure why we are making this face...oh well :)

Lots of family Skip-bo by the lantern light.

And cocktails too!

The next day we swam and eagerly awaited for my family to arrive for the day.

Sweet Landon riding C's 'Sparky' (named after the horse in Sheriff Calli Disney show.)

Its always a good idea to be safe with helmets while Damon is in charge of the swing.

Of course, we needed a self-timer picture before everyone left for the night.

We always pay to stay Sunday night too so that we have the day to play at the pool while everyone else packs up and leaves by noon.

C is doing a great job with swimming...we just need to work on her confidence more.  She is a little in  her head and nervous about things.  Hmmm, I wonder where she gets that from :)

Mothers Day 2017

We spent Mothers Day at the cabin and decided to dedicate Mothers Day to my family and Fathers Day to Damons family.  It is hard driving all over the county seeing both sides in one day, especially when we are up at Camp Meeker.  The kiddos had a wonderful day playing together while we all watched them.  At one point my dad paid them a nickel for each handful of sticks they picked up in the yard...gotta love child labor!

I love these pictures of my grandparents...its nice to see them smile at one another.

This picture could've been my sister and I 30 years ago.

Our only family photo :)

Damon BBQ'd for us, so he proudly displayed his Kiss Me I'm the Cook custom cup :)

This picture could've also been my sister and I 30 years ago.  We played in this burned out redwood tree for hours.  Not sure if my dad joined us often, but certainly makes up for it with his grandkiddos.

The ladies of the group!

These two have a very sweet relationship - it makes me smile.

And this is what happens about 5 minutes after leaving the top of the hill...car naps!

I cannot help but remember Mothers Day 2010...I took my own car nap on the way home from the cabin, that paired with my wine tasting bad prompted me to take a pregnancy test.  It was positive and the following January Cambrie officially made me a Mother.

Its the best title I have ever had.  Its an honor everyday to have her chose me.

Open House(s)

The month of May also brought Open Houses at C's school and A's school too.  It was super sweet of my sister and Avery to make the trek to see us at C's open house.  We also had fun showing Charlotte around the kindergarten classroom since she is heading to Penngrove next school year.

Selfie station in from of room 9!

C was so proud to show off her school work and her progress throughout the year.

We also ran into this handsome young man, Casen.  Wow - what a difference 10 years makes - look at him here when he was 5.

The following week we headed to Avery's school to surprise her for her open house.

Damon is so good with his nieces and nephew...is a great man my Damon :)

He also sat in Avery's chair which was covered in glitter from one of her projects and proceeded to walk around with a glitter booty. More the reason to love him.

We checked out Landon's TK room, my sisters classroom and the new classrooms at her school where her class will be next school year.  It was a busy month supporting the elementary school kiddos in our lives!

Preschool Graduation for Landon

LT had a big year this year with his own preschool graduation.  I wasn't able to make it to Avery's graduation (D and C went), so I was determined to celebrate my one and only nephew a ton.  We headed up to Windsor on a Wednesday night and were so excited for the ceremony.

Sweet little LT in the middle of the front row...although he could have stayed at the preschool another year, he is transferring to the TK program at my sisters school.  So there were only a few of Landons classroom mates at the graduation, the rest of the kiddos were another year older and heading into kindergarten.

Papa and his girls :)

His buddy!

He did a great job singing the songs and standing up to get his diploma.

Of course, I made us go away from the crowd into the best light some for good pictures.

The girls just kept lovin' on him - they were so proud!

We headed back to my parents house for some ice cream cake and a few small presents.

Congratulations sweet smart LT...he is ready for TK!
