Tahoe Weekend - Part One

Two weekends ago my parents, sister and family went to Northstar for a long weekend away.  We had an awesome house on the golf course and we each had our own level in the house.  Which was nice when we added in the loud kiddo factor.

My parents, sister and the kids drove up on Thursday while Damon and Geoff drove up after work on Friday.  My mom drove in the car with Cambrie and I and the drive went super quickly.  Cambrie enjoyed singing to her Grammie and looking for Target trucks (her favorite.)

There was a lot of areas to explore around the house and Papa took the little girls for a walk while the big girls unpacked and organized.

The girls helped me make muffins too - haha, looks like Cambrie was having fun with stickers as bandaids on her legs.

Avery taught Cambrie how to lick the bowl/spoon.  That was a new one for my little cooking/baking side-kick.  And, now, Cambrie requests for tastes as soon as we are done cooking.

The girls took a bath together and they are just too adorable together.  This is the only appropriate photo to post...but you can tell from Cambrie's face that they were having a blast.  Avery also taught Cambrie what a mermaid looks like in the bathtub and now she likes to act like Avery the mermaid in the tub.

And, this kid, could he be any cuter?

Swimming in the Russian River

My parents have been helping out watching Cambrie while I work a few times this summer.  Cambrie loves her Papa and Grammie days in Windsor (she loves talking about her family that lives in Petaluma and Windsor - she likes to tell us that she lives in Cotati.)

The first day they headed to the Healdsburg river and had SO much fun.  I am really glad that my sister and dad used my camera for me to share in on the memories.

The girls loved being pulled around by Papa in his boat...

Happy girls!

We have gone to the river a few times since then and Cambrie just loves it.  Its an easy outing, it isn't crowded at all if you go early and the water is the perfect temperature.  An added bonus is extra long naps too :)

4th of July

4th of July was spent up at Kris and Loren's new house on the ranch.  We enjoyed all the luxuries of the house, like the warming drawer for our ribs...

And the amazing tv/sound system.

Cambrie asked to eat on the floor like the last time and she had her own little picnic.

These two just make me smile :)

Damon's cousin Andriana and her cute boyfriend Nick...

The new house on the hill is pretty impressive, but my favorite part is the massive circular fire pit...it was the perfect spot for fireworks.

Love this picture of Damon's dad...

Cambrie kept asking Papa Loren to fill up the fire pit with water to make a swimming pool :)

I like this one of Damon's dad too..

These pictures of Damon and Cambrie remind me of her first 4th of July up at the ranch.  See the pics at the end of the post here....

Towards the end of the night, Ryanne and the rest of her family joined in on the firework action.  And Cambrie was oh so excited to spend time with her Ry-Ry.

I am not quite sure how this happened, but my daughter fell asleep during the various firework shows.  Haha - too funny!  We were able to see fireworks from all over the area....San Francisco, Richmond, Petaluma and Rohnert Park.

Ever since, C has been a little obsessed with fire and fireworks since then.  She loved them and notices flames and fireworks all over.  It was a fun holiday, made even better that we were able to celebrate with both of our parents in one spot.  So lucky :)

My 31st Birthday

My 31st birthday has come and gone without a lot of fanfare, just the way that I like it :)  It was a good day that started with a great surprise in the Starbucks drive thru from Michelle, then got a little goofy at work (the HR temp took another job just when I asked her to add more hours), but it all turned around at dinner with this little cutie:

We headed to El Torito for some appetizers and margaritas with my family...

My sister and her family were in Mexico, so Cambrie enjoyed lots of attention and cuddles around the table.

What a lucky girl to color with both of her handsome Papa's :)

Cambrie really liked the birthday celebrations and she keeps asking when she is going to turn 3 :)  Thanks to all of my friends and family who made my day extra special!

Santa Monica - Part Two

Guess its been a few days since I blogged...life is, well, busy.  Three weddings in three weekends.  Lots of activity at my other job.  Cambrie being the cutest thing ever.  Just moved blogging down on the priority list I guess.  I think this weekend I will be able to get caught up.

The day of the wedding we headed to the beach to go 'swimming' and enjoy some sunshine, some culture of Venice Beach and a nice meal.

Once again C had the time of her life with the ocean...

My turn :)

She loves his dipping sauce!

While I was working (it was a loooong workday) Damon and Cambrie hung out at the hotel, went swimming, went for a walk and grabbed dinner.  We had a great time at the hotel and decided that we need to travel more often with her.  She just loves new places and exploring.  On Sunday we woke up and headed out pretty early.  It was an uneventful (which is a good thing) drive home.

And, the bonus, is that the wedding pictures were just beyond gorgeous.
