Weekend in Tahoe - Part Two

Love this little Straub family...

On our second day in Tahoe we decided to venture to the ever popular Cabelas which is about 30 minutes away from Tahoe Donner.  The kids (little and big) all love this store and it was C's third time visiting.

She is hiding her smile behind my baby blanket (I mean, her baby blanket) as she was looking at the fish tank...

We have decided that this will be our Straub/Morelli yearly growth photo.  The boys in front of the animal display holding C (although in a few years, neither she nor Casen will want him to hold her.)

Once we got back we decided to get C all bundled up and ready for her first real venture in the snow.  Look at my little snow bunny!

Her snow suit was size 18 -24 months and her shoes were a size 5...both were too big for her, so hopefully they will still fit next year too :)

Our family photo even with Shasta in the background.

The sleds were a perfect spot for Cambrie to sit and be shielded from the cold snow.  Thankfully it wasn't too cold outside so she was really able to enjoy her snow experience.

I really appreciate that Damon takes Cambrie on adventures with him that I am not as comfortable doing with her, like sledding down the mountain.  I am a little scared of adventures, but I definitely don't want C to be scared so her dad takes care of making sure she has all of those experiences in her life.

She is so funny in this next set of images, she really liked being pulled across the snow laying down on the sled.  But, you can hardly tell that she was excited from the pictures until the very end.

Love love love this one...

Weekend in Tahoe - Part One

Presidents Day weekend we headed up to Tahoe with the Straub family.  We love this annual tradition with our two families.  For fun, here are links to 2005, 2009 Part One, 2009 Part Two, 2009 Part Three, 2010 Part One, 2010 Part Two, 2010 Part Three, 2010 Part Four2011 Part One, 2011 Part Two, 2011 Part Three and 2011 Part Four.  WOW - that is a lot of Tahoe winter blogging!

We were able to rent one of our favorite condos again this year, we last stayed there in 2010.  But, it was a little different this year since there wasn't a ton of snow.

Per usual, C was a great little traveler when we left on Friday night after work.  When we arrived at the condo around 11:00 everyone was wide awake and it was hard to settle down the kids again to go to bed.  Cambrie just wanted to explore the house, the luggage and to spend time with her friends.

After a rough night (this trip really got C's sleeping all confused - but it was definetly worth it), I got to sleep in a little while everyone had breakfast.  This is the happiness that I woke up to.

After getting ready, we headed out to try to find some snow.  Here is my cute little snow bunny all ready to go on an adventure.

Shasta was very excited to join us on the trip as well and she did really well.  I was really happy that we were able to bring her and that she was so well behaved.

Randy found a little bit of snow off of the road and the boys were able to sled for a little bit.  Cambrie was sleeping by this point, so I was able to actually be able to have an uninterrupted conversation with Michelle which is a luxury these days :)

Casen eating a snow burrito as he called it :)

Shasta loves catching snow balls!

After our feeble attempt of sledding we decided to head to lunch in Truckee.  Of course, C woke up in time for lunch...she rarely misses a meal these days.

Back at the condo we spent time playing and C was having the time of her life.

Aren't the three of them adorable together?

The boys are still so good with Cambrie and I am so thankful that they all get along so well.  Casen and Trenton really helped to entertain her the entire weekend and I think that they all enjoyed the company.

More posts later this week from our fun weekend!
