Chuck E Cheese

Damon and I took Trenton and Casen to Chuck E Cheese the other weekend to celebrate their birthdays. Usually we take them separately, but since their birthdays are during hunting season, I don't have my husband around too much on the weekends. I loved having the Tahoe full of little life, they are such hams!

Damon was in charge in Casen and I was in charge of Trenton...so we split up and played on our own due to the difference in age groups. Naturally, most of the photos are of my Trenton :)

Casen hit a jackpot on a game and won 100 tickets. Trenton and I happened to walk by and we "tricked" Trenton into thinking he won some of the tickets. He was SO excited and Casen was a good spot about it as well.

A horrible photo...but it shows that I was there.

The boys bought a Chuck E Cheese doll, cotton candy and some other goofy items, they were very excited.

Of course, they played with their new toys on the way home and spelt with their dolls that night according to Michelle.

We asked them not to eat their cotton candy, since we took them to Baskin Robbins...but, they knew that we had no real authority, so they helped themselves.

Looking forward to future adventures...

Flashback: SF Giants Game 09.14.04

I am loving all the flasback posts, and I am loving the change of fashion over the years too! This particular day has lots of fond memories for me. It was a beautiful day for a Cambra family Giants game. My sister was living in the City, I was newly single (little did I know that that would not last for too long, I met Damon three weeks later) and I was loving having time with my extended family. We got bleacher seats for our family, some of my mom's co-worker friends and some of Alicia's friends. This was the first time that I met Geoff, in fact I sat next to him. Here are Alicia and I:

Goofy Uncle Dickie playing with Lucielle.

Geoff and Alicia, as friends, 4 years before their wedding.

Julie and Cameron before marriage and before their little girl was born (or maybe even thought of!)

I really like this family photo (minus my slicked back hair and funny sunglasses)

I just got back from dinner with my mom and she was wearing the exact same jacket that she is in the picture below. I guess her clothing style hasn't changed too much. And the funniest part is that was one of my jackets from high school!

I actually do have some 2009 photos to post...more on Tuesday with that, but I am just having so much fun with the flashbacks!

Number 55: Completed

Look what I got in the mail today!

Yes, that is a little portion of my pink slip for my car! I am so excited that I paid it off, it feels like a big weight is lifted. I still really love my car, even though now they are more popular and I see them all over these days. It was my first new car purchase, which I made after moving in with Damon, and not having to pay rent anymore. We picked it up on April 22, 2006...Earth Day and exactly 3 months before our wedding. My favorite part about the Acura is XM radio, my least favorite is that that doors do not lock automatically.
I think I will celebrate this accomplishment with a fancy car wash tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Lindsay

Last Saturday I met up with Lindsay and a group of her friends for an afternoon wine tasting adventure in Kenwood. The occasion was to celebrate her 27th birthday in style. Although I did not get to spend the whole day with them, the time that I spent was worth it.

Here is the group picture of the girls at Chateau St. Jean.

Lindsay and Andrea, her friend from high school, who I haven't seen since Chico!

Lindsay with her cousin, Katie, who went to Chico and always seems to be the designated person to buy alcohol for us :)
Lindsay, I hope that you had a wonderful day celebrating all of your fabulousness!

Flashback: Barrel Tasting March 5, 2005

Today is another flashback post from March of 2005. It was a gorgeous day and Meredith rescued me from a day of homework to go barrel tasting. We even had her little brother, who isn't too little these days, drive us. Surprisingly we haven't not gone barrel tasting since...I think that we need to change that in the near future! I love Meredith's jean jacket and long hair...a little different from her short and trendy hair-do these days.

We started at AlderBrook...

and we ended at Quivera where I bought Damon his steelhead red hat :)

Hope that everyone is enjoying their Tuesday :)

2009 Ursuline Garden Party

Last weekend was a busy weekend filled with the second annual Ursuline Garden Party hosted by the Alumnae Association. It is a very fun event, with all proceeds going to scholarships for the high school students. I am very passionate about the education I received at Ursuline and am happy to give my time as a token of gratitude. Here are some of the unedited pictures, starting with the Friday night staging and set-up:

Sydney and Liz, two Ursuline seniors, were great helps on Friday night and Saturday. Morgan and I loved being around them, they reminded us of how we were at that age!

The set-up on bright and early on Saturday morning...

This year we had the art department paint some garden ceramics, they were a big hit!

The Union Hotel was so generous and donated all the food, drinks and service for the event. The pasteries were yummy!

Here are all the Ursuline ladies helping make the event successful...

And the event planning baord...

Two more of the adorable Ursuline volunteers...

My two favorite attendees, my grandma and mama...

Morgan with her mama...
Barbara Gonnella, the Untion Hotel owner, and her beautiful daughter...

A quick snapshot of our plant "daycare" so attendees could stash their purchases while still enjoying the event.

The event is scheduled for March 20th next year...mark your calendars!
