On Monday night Damon and I went to set up our fishing adventure through the front desk. We ended up needing to wait for a few minutes and walked to the back to the property to watch the pendlers and the beachgoers...

And, of course, take some self portraits...

We were approached by a hotel staff member who asked what we were doing, we shared with her that we were waiting for information on our fishing trip and she said she could get us a better deal with her friend, which she did and we booked with her. Not quite sure how legal of an activity that was for her, but it worked for us (and we caught a lot of fish today - pics and info in a few more minutes).

We headed to the Mango Deck (located next to The Office) on the beach for dinner. The Office is very well known in the area, but we had a recommendation to try to Mango Deck (it is a little less tourist-y and they had much better entertainment, too.) We enjoyed looking at the view above while eating another round of nachos together and, of course, the birthday boy needed to have a cerveza (or two.)

I really like the back image and quote on the Coca-Cola light cans.

After dinner, we headed back to our room and got ready for another night swim. Although this time we weren't alone in the pool (others must've caught on!) and it was super windy, which kinda made it cold. But, it was still fun and we plan on repeating it again tonight. Here are baby M and I...

This morning was an early wake up call at 5:30 to be at the marine by 6:15. We realized that when we have fished on vacations before we were always picked up at the cruise ship boat dock or at our hotel. This was our first time actually heading to the main fishing marina. It was crowded and hectic and fun all in one. Definitely the place to be in the mornings in Cabo :)

Our day catching in fish started just as early as our wake up call...we landed 7 dorados, 1 wahoo and 1 bonita (a small tuna) within three hours. The two fishing guides were SO excited all day long, especially when the second fish that we caught was the wahoo, apparently those are not as common as the others and the white meat is very good eating. Here is Damon with one of the many colorful fish that we claimed...

Me and my wahoo...it is a 45 pound fish that fought quite a bit. It was the first fish I reeled in and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to reel in anymore, but the dorado were much easier. (Pardon the crazy curly salt water hair - it was windy!)
