House Warming and Graduation Party

Sunday was our open house/graduation party...60 people helped us celebrate! Thank you for everyone who attended- we missed those of you who were unable to make it.

The Infamous Cotati Crawl

After the ceremony, we had lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant in Cotati, Dos Amigos, before heading out on the infamous Cotati Crawl. We visited (and drank at least one drink) at the Yacht Club, Spanky's, Tradewinds and the 8-Ball. I was proud of my mom and grandma for enjoying the activity so much. This might need to become a yearly tradition!

Just kidding...we drank beer and didn't take any shots!

At Spanky's, Grandma and Dad shared the perfect long island tea...now Grandma wants to make them on the Alaska cruise next month. She was a little shocked when she found out how many different alcohols were in each drink- but she decided that each couple should bring one different kind of alcohol and we will make it work!

Tradewinds turned out to be our favorite spot. The owner, Tony, was a nice guy who bought us a round of congratulations drinks. We had the new Coors Light bottles with the cold activated bottles where the rockie mountains are blue when the beer is cold and white when it is too warm (super neat!) They also had a hunting video game that my dad, Geoff and Damon enjoyed playing.
The last spot was the infamous 8-Ball, where we had another round of long islands and enjoyed the soon-to-be-summer sun on the outside patio.

Saturday's SSU Graduation

On Saturday, my family joined me in at the SSU graduation ceremony. It turned out to be a beautiful and memorable morning. Although the ceremony was a little long and the commencement speaker wasn't too uplifting, I was thankful to be a part of the day. The 2007 Masters in Business Administration graduates

I was able to see my family while walking through the processional (you can see Damon and my sister with cameras, my dad with the video camera, my mom smiling away and Geoff making a funny face. Grandma was a little too short to make the photo). While they were taking pictures of me, I took a picture of them too!

My class friends, Jeminah and Sabrina

Jilian (Damon's old roomate) and her boyfriend, Tim, were also graduating with business degrees :)

Happy Birthday Cyrus Morelli

Today is a great day...it is Cy's 9th birthday!! He slept soundly on the bed with us last night, got to go work with his dad (without his sister) and he got lots of treats! Damon and Cy met me for lunch and Cy enjoyed some Dairy Queen ice cream (vanilla- his favorite). Tonight he put on his special birthday hat and scarfed down two sugar cupcakes.

And of course, our little girl helped celebrate her older brothers day...although she only got a few licks of frosting!

Happy Mother's Day

Today, Damon and I hosted a brunch for all the special mom's in our life. It was fun to spend time cleaning the house and working in the kitchen, since most our of time lately has been spent outside. We are thankful that both of our mom's and grandma's were able to attend...the best part of the day was seeing both sides of the family together.

Happy First Mother's Day Leana!

Now it is time to start getting ready for the big bash Memorial Day weekend :) Whoo hoo...less than two weeks to graduation!

Happy Cinco De Mayo

Yesterday was Cinco do Mayo, a great day for celebrations. We had the best reason to celebrate...our crew of workers (aka: my dad, Tyler, Randy and Damon) laid down 1,400 square feet of lawn in one hour! Ladies and gentlemen...we now have new green lawn! The backyard is almost complete, just a few touch-ups. Cy and Shasta are enjoying their new playing area and Damon was happy to take a nap on a Saturday afternoon, since our past weekend have been filled with yardwork!

The Straub's visited us in the morning and the boys had a lot of fun "fishing" in the soon to be fish trough in the backyard. To explain the shirt theme...the family was on its way to a Hawaiian themed birthday party.

In the evening, we joined Kris, Loren, Tyler, Leana and Ryanne for a margarita. Of course, I only took photos of that sweet and beautiful little niece of mine. Here she is helping her grandma put the dinner dishes into the dishwasher.

Look at those leg-warmers...gotta love the comeback of the 80's!

Not so happy Ryanne after waking up from her nap...she got a little to warm with her legwarmers on.

Leana and Tyler play a cute game with their daughter...one of them holds her and then chases the other one around the house. Ryanne gets a kick out of it, and so do the other family members watching :)

What a happy family
