Ladies and Babies in Tahoe - Part Two

Like I said it was amazing that we didn't even have to leave the house to play in the snow.  There was a great spot a few houses down as well as our side yard too.

C was really excited about the snow chains on the tractor - so we took a picture for Papa Loren.

I have such nice, authentic and beautiful girl friends.  We get along so well and enjoy sharing life together.  They help to make me feel like a better mother and better person for having them in my life.

Group phone selfie with the self timer - that took some serious skills for me to accomplish :)

And that was just the morning snow sledding adventures!

Ladies and Babies in Tahoe - Part One

Following our weekend in Reno we headed back up to the snow the following Saturday for two days with the ladies and babies.  I was very excited and pretty nervous too.  The moms were outnumbered - 5 kiddos to 4 moms.  Turns out, I had nothing to worry about.  Our kiddos were all awesome and amazing together.

Plus, they were all so excited for their adventure!

We drove with Lisa and Wes...

while Mer drove Morgan, Noah, PK and Cami while looking super awesome drinking out of a Paw Patrol water bottle :)

Apparently this is how C sleeps (her and Wes were battling over the sun roofs open or closed dilemma).

They did a pretty good job sharing toys and allowing Lisa and I to catch up during the drive.

And, of course, the snow is just so exciting!

The house we rented was in a perfect location - we just wished the family room area was a little bigger with more seating - but it fit us all relatively well.  The best part was that we didn't even need to leave to go sledding!  We didn't get back into our cars until we left on Monday.

We could even see some of the lake from the backyard!

So impossible to get a picture of all the kiddos!

We let the kiddos play a little in the snow that night and made sure they all went to bed to get ready for the nest day of sledding.

This sweet girl makes me smile!

Sledding adventures tomorrow :)

Valentines Weekend in Reno - Part Two

After sledding and shopping at the outdoor store, we said goodbye to the Martens family and went back to relax at the hotel.  We played several rounds of Uno and watched an episode of the Kids Baking Competition show - it quickly became C's new favorite show.  Then we got ready for a nice Valentines dinner as a trio.

Here is C breaking the law and hanging out in front of a fountain in a 'no one under age 21 allowed.'

We went to a nice Mexican restaurant where we proceeded to play more Uno games.

After dinner we tried going to the movies and bowling, but neither worked.  So we grabbed some ice cream and headed back upstairs for more Uno.

The next day we headed out of town in the morning and we took our time going home.  We drove around Reno for a little and then went sledding at Boca.

It was so peaceful at our sledding spot.  We only saw one other vehicle - the sun was shining through the trees and everything was shimmering in the morning light.  It was just beautiful.

Thankfully it didn't take us too long to get home in traffic - we took a different route and it was rather enjoyable.  Especially for traveling home on Presidents Day.  We were excited to get away as a family and spend time with the lovely Martens four.

Valentines Weekend in Reno - Part One

For the Presidents Day weekend we headed up to Reno to the snow!

It was difficult just having one weekend at home in between Disneyland and Reno, but we made the best of it - like always :)

My Shasta girl loves herself some car ride adventures and is full of kisses.

We stopped at Boca, our usual spot, to play in the snow.  C was in love at first step on the snow :)

It was so peaceful and perfect up there - we didn't want to leave!

I just get a kick out of the hotel in Reno allowing dogs.  People are always pointing and looking at you when you walk through the lobby with a dog!  The first time we were there was with Cy and Shasta when she was a pup :(

After checking into our room we headed down to the arcade to meet up with Krystina and her boys.  We had such a great time hanging out with them.  Cambrie just loves her Tina :)

After playing a game of bowling and getting some dinner we called it a night so we could wake up early and get sledding!  Here we are with our snow clothes in a suitecase carried by our little helper.

First we went to breakfast at a good hole in the wall spot downtown...we had to split up our party and of course Cambrie wanted to sit with Krystina and Jason.  They were a row full of blue eyed cuties :)

After breakfast we headed to a park for some sledding - it was a great spot.  Not a lot of other people and it flew like we had the place to ourselves.

This series of photos just makes me laugh!

Thankfully they were all smiles afterwards!

You cannot spell Hero without HR :)  Thats a dynamic HR duo if I have ever seen one!

Pretty views!

Shasta has a new trick...pulling C on the sled.  Its too funny :)

A video of Shasta pulling C because it is too funny not to share :)
