Cambra Family Dinner

Two weeks ago my parents had us all over for dinner before they headed to Texas for my mom's work trip. It was really fun because even my grandparents came up to Windsor for the meal. My daughter was so excited to see her Auntie A again...

And Mimi, my grandma, was in heaven with her two little great granddaughters.

We let Avery get super close to Cambrie and sit next to her. She always does great with her little cousin, but a one year old doesn't quite understand the notion of 'gentle' so we 'monitor' their interactions pretty well. On this particular occasion, Avery was patting Cambrie's hair and was getting sooo excited.

Me and my best girl :)

Avery also learned how to say 'Auntie.' Although, whenever she sees me she immediately says 'baby.' I am no longer an individual according to Avery these days, I am just the lady with the baby that she wants to look at and play with!

Photos From April 21st

Cambrie had a busy day last Thursday...this is how she ended up :)

The day started with a hair appointment for myself in Healdsburg with my mama, while Cambrie hung out with her Papa Tim. Then we took Papa to lunch and walked some errands in Windsor. The evening ended with dinner at El Torito with my parents and Damon. Cambrie tried her first taste of regular food, a flauta...

Just kidding, Damon was only pretending! It was also the first time that she took a ride on her father's shoulders.

She loved grabbing his hair too (she has been holding onto mine lately, which I think is so cute because to me it shows how big she is getting).

She also met a new friend, Ann, while on our walk of errands in Windsor, who was having lunch at Applebee's with my mom.

While looking at all of these pictures, I realized that Cambrie has some goofy looks on her face. Promise, she is super cute :)

Playdate with Mimi and Great-Grandpa

Last Monday we headed over to Mimi and Great-Grandpa's for lots of smiles and talking...

Cambrie loves her flower...

And she loves her great-grandparents too :)

Must Be The Life...

As I was headed out the door to a client session last Sunday, this was my family:

That would be Cambrie on the coffee table with Damon and Shasta on the couch. All sleeping. Ahhh, must be the life :)

Leana's Birthday Dinner

Miss Leana celebrated a birthday two weekends ago, which of course, gave us a great reason to have a family dinner. I brought crab cakes (from a Sur La Table cooking class that I took with Damon's mom) to pair with the other delicious food that Kris prepared.

Cambrie was starting to get sick and wasn't her normal happy self...her she is sleeping on grandma's kitchen counter.

Damon and Ryanne had a good time clowning around, per usual.

and Charlotte took a cue from Cambrie and slept like the content little baby that she is.

A few cute pictures of the birthday girl and her delightful daughters...

Papa did a good job holding all of the babies. Cambrie was once again enamored with her new cousin.

Although I didn't get any pictures with me in them, I was able to capture a moment with Tyler and Cambrie, which is pretty rare since as Tyler says the other girls tend to hog my daughter at family dinners.

A New Trick...

Can you see what my 12 week old girl started to do?

Grab on and hold on to her toys all on her own! I love seeing new milestones reached and look forward to all of the future ones.

Trying Another Bottle

This little daughter of mine used to take a bottle and then she started noticing the world around her and discovered the difference between the two. We truly need her to successfully feed from a bottle so that mama can get a break, meet with clients and share the responsibility. It seems like she will take a bottle one day and then the next day she won't take it at all.

I guess that we will keep on trying...

The Ursuline Garden Party

Last weekend was the final Ursuline Garden Party with Ursuline being a stand alone school. Typically the event is held at the Union Hotel in Occidental, but this year it was held at Ursuline and was a more simple event. Damon, Cambrie and I helped us set up on Friday night.
Miss Cambrie was a little angel and all the little ol' ladies were lovin' on her adorableness on the church pew.

I am still amazed at how big my little girl is getting, she is just too precious for words.

Trenton's Baseball Game

A few Friday's ago we attended Trenton's first little league baseball game. This year both of the Straub boys are playing baseball in the Rohnert Park league (last year just Casen played in the Mark West league). It is amazing the amount of games and practices that both boys have, it is almost daily. We plan on attending quite a few of the games, so I am sure that there will be plenty of photos to come.

At this game I was shocked to see Damon playing catch with Casen, I have never seen him play baseball before.

Of course, Miss Michelle scooped up my daughter right away :)

And, apparently Casen was mixing his love for basketball with his love for hunting.

Michelle handed Cambrie over to Randy and it was his first time holding her...now that she is older and bigger he is more comfortable with her. I am the same way around babies too, I get nervous with someone else's newborn bundle of joy.

Cambrie is such a bubble blower, she just loves to drool. I read somewhere that drooling babies mean that they are well hydrated.

Casen and I decided to take a trip to the playground to play.

Back to the game, here is Trenton up to bat.

Trenton is number 6 on the far right, he is so cute!
