Christmas #3

The last Friday in December we celebrated our final Christmas event with my dads size of the family.  We waited until a time that my sister and cousins were all in town - it was worth it!

Diana also announced some very exciting news :)

Cheers (to everyone but Diana) for another healthy little one joining our amazing family - so exciting!

My Aunt Susan graciously hosted us all and provided this beautiful platter of sugar goodness - yum!

My Aunt and Uncle also lead us a custom 12 Days of Christmas song all related to wine drinking - it was hilarious!

My cousin and his sweet wife played guitar and piano - I just giggled along and took videos and pictures.

Next year there will be a 5th little one under the Christmas tree :)

We enjoyed a long game of White Elephant gift exchanging - it is always a crack up to see what everyone brings and what people steal.  It is also fun having the kiddos get in on the fun as well.

We typically wear pajamas on Christmas morning so the spirited family members carried on the tradition for our nighttime event.

The four Cambra siblings - I took about 100 photos and this was the best that I got.  They were all talking or flipping me off or in general just being themselves.  What a great sibling set these 4 are.

We ended the night with Pie in the Face and it was epic.  The kiddos loved it (clarification - they loved watching the adults get blasted.)

Christmas #2

Christmas Eve was a nice quite meal at home with my parents followed by a tour of Christmas lights in the area.  There was also some lego building by the cutest 6 year old. 

We set everything up for Santa including water since we figured he was tired of milk (and we don't drink milk at home) and lots of cookies from the cookie party.  

Christmas morning C was up ready to open gifts.  We had a lovely morning spoiling our girl.  In years past, Damon has asked me 'that's it?' after seeing her present pile.  So I proved him really wrong this year :)

One of her favorite items were her new riding boots, pants and helmet - my cute little equestrian girl!

We always make sure to get presents for Shasta and C goes shopping for presents for me from her and Damon and vice versa.  She gets really really excited about shopping for everything.

Lala her elf also created another scavenger hunt for her Santa gift.  It really makes the Santa gift even better.  This year she received Samantha the American Girl doll.

Afterwards we headed to my Auntie Paulas house to see some of my family.  C decided to wear her new camo outfit with her riding boots.  I choose my battles and like allowing her to make decisions as much as possible.

Then we headed home to grab Shasta and ran up to the ranch to spend the rest of the day with the Morellis.

It was a long, busy and memorable day.  Cambrie is a very lucky girl to have such amazing family members all within a 30 minute drive.  We love celebrating holidays together and appreciate each opportunity to be together.

Penngrove Tractor Parade

This year was our first year at the Penngrove Tractor Parade and it didn't disappoint!  We tried to make it last year but weren't able to make it happen.  We signed up to help with the 4H float, but when we arrived it was already taken care of.  

C decided not to ride on the float - she often opts out of unknown experiences since she likes to know exactly what is going to happen and what is going on.  I hope to try to calm her fears/anxiety and that this doesn't carry with her into the future.  Poor thing!

We met with the Morellis downtown for dinner and then headed to a perfect spot to watch the parade.

The entries in the parade were amazing - great creativity and a good variety.  The entries looped back at the end so we were able to see them twice which was also fun.  We feel like it surpassed the Calistoga parade and its much closer to home :)  

Christmas #1

The actual holiday of Christmas was really drawn out this year...we celebrated on the 16th with my sisters family and ended with the Cambra celebration on the 29th.  Lots of festivities in the middle too!

We love spending time with Uncle Dave on our holidays - he always purchases the kiddos super thoughtful coordinating gifts.  This year it was rain jackets!

C was very excited about her Hatchimal twin deers from my sister - we had a good laugh about how crazy some of the toys are these days and wonder what drugs they were on when designing them :)

So very thankful that my grandparents were able to make it this year - things are still touch and go with them so we are always happy to spent time with them.  

December Cookie Parties

We all know that December holds lots of cookie parties for our family - lots of traditions for both me and my family.  Our kiddo cookie party late in the year, so I decided to host one for my grandmas 86th birthday as well.  You can never have too many cookie parties :)

The great-grandkiddos enjoyed seeing one another and spending time with their elders.

We even had the birthday girl get in on some of the decorating action :)

I wasn't feeling well at the kiddo cookie party - but I still rallied and made it up to Windsor.  Of course, the kiddos had a great time running around and decorating a little.  A tradition almost 20 years old!
