Cambra Cabin Day

Back in August we headed to the cabin with the Cambra clan.  We love hanging out in Camp Meeker, its close to home but feels so far away when we are there.  It was also fun this time because we just let the kiddos run free - which obviously they loved :)

The last 11 years I have been making garlic artichoke dip for every Cambra family gathering and they all cannot get enough!

One of my favorite parts of the cabin are the windows...they are old and awesome.

I went upstairs to hear the kiddos laughing hysterically....they were playing with photo booth app and having the times of their lives.

We took a quick drive to the park to burn off even more energy...it was a little scary on the way there. I was driving Damon's truck and the roads are narrow and I parked in a wrong spot and the man who owned the property came running after me - he was totally scary and one of the 'mountain guys' that I was always warned about as a kiddo.  Needless to say after a 35 point turn I was able to get us out of there and to the park safely without anyone yelling at us anymore.

I also let the kiddos drive back in the back of the truck - seriously this must've been the best day ever for them!

Alaska Cruise - The End (#2)

Back on dry land, we were fascinated with the forklift routines and how quickly they were loading up the next 2,500 guests onto the boat.  Quite an amazing logistics feat!

What an amazing and memorable trip for all of us - so incredibly thankful for the time spent with my family.

Alaska Cruise - The End

The last day Damon went on a super special tour of the boat - there were only 15 spots and we paid an amazing amount of money for his to get to take a memorable 'ultimate tour' of the ship.  He got to go up to the bridge, into the galley, electrical rooms, mooring areas and more.  He received personalized stationary, a robe, photos and more.  It was pretty awesome.  I really wish my grandma was able to do it, but there were too many stairs for his cute little 89 year old self.

C and I spent the morning packing (you have to put your luggage out early in the day for them to collect and get ready for disembarkation.) Here she is delivering some handmade notes to her Papa.

It was the Warriors last game in the series and we watched in one of the lounges.  We took over a big area in the back and let the kiddos color while we watched the (sad) game.

Alaska Cruise - Part Eleven

Almost done with our Alaska cruise posts :( and :)

Our second to last day was in port at Victoria and we decided to just stay on ship.  The weather wasn't great, we had already been several times and we were in port for a short time. So we hung out and swam while everyone was out exploring - perfect!

It was also another formal night so we took full advantage of all the cuteness and celebrations:

We were very excited to see the same Russian dancing couple perform this year...although we were sad that they didn't bring someone from our party up on stage.  I still laugh out loud when I remember how they got Damon to go up and dance with them - it was amazing!

We kinda stalked them and asked for a photo, they claimed they remembered us (which I like to think that they did even though they probably didn't after all that time and all those guests they entertained for.)

Damon and I did a date night again and explored lots of areas of the ship that we hadn't been to before.  We played Skipbo, drank and had partook in some fabulous people watching.

One last stroll around the deck (so empty!) and the moon over the ocean.

And then we discovered that everyone was just inside partying inside with the band and balloon drop :)

Sigh, back to the room to start packing and getting ready for dry land after another day at sea.
