Alaska Cruise - Day One (Part Two)

Here are sone additional pics of the first day from my other camera.  It was crazy busy at the pier and the security line was pretty long getting into the building, but it gave my dad and Geoff plenty of time to park the cars and walk back to us.

Seriously, Landon and his hat are too cute for words!

Thankfully we didn't have to wait in any lines once we were inside. My sister's suite room status gave us all priority status and we walked right up to the counter, then through the metal detectors then onto the boat.  All within 60 minutes.

The crew is just amazing - so friendly and helpful with the kiddos.

We went straight to our rooms the girls had a great time playing in Avery's room.

Fresh flowers and appetizers were some of the fun amenities that greeted us.

And personalized stationary too...haha!

We got Cambrie a special backpack for the trip - she was very excited!

The kids did a great job during the safety talk...in fact, Cambrie said 'that was fun, let's do it again' when we were done.  Ummm, okay?!?

Alaska Cruise - Day One

This will probably be a very long blog series - but we all had so much fun on our cruise and there is so much that I want to document and share with everyone :)

We left on Friday, May 10th out of San Francisco for our 3rd cruise to Alaska with my family.  But this time we were able to have the little ones join us on our adventures.  I was equally as excited and terrified at the same time.  It was alot to pack, to prepare and I was worried about 10 days being too long.  But, everything ended up great and, overall, the kids did a great job.

Here was the view from our balcony (it was our first time with balconies on the way to Alaska and it was amazing to have them!)

We had 4 balconies in a row....here are Damon and my Dad at the end of our area.  It was super nice that they all connected together so that we could go into each others rooms without having to walk in the hallway and deal with keycards.

 Cambrie was already so excited to be on the big boat.  It was really fun to see her excitement.  Due to how the pier is set up it is hard to actually see the entirety of the boat so the girls didn't have any idea about how big it really was.  The check in process was pretty easy, it took about one hour to get boarded from the time that we arrived.  Cruise ships are a phenomenal operation - it takes 4 hours to off-board 3,000 people and 4 hours to on-board 3,000 people!  

Part of the reason that it was pretty easy to on-board was that my sister and Geoff were in a suite and preferred check-in access was one of the many perks.  It was a lifesaver with having 3 kids under the age of 3.  

I was bummed that it was pretty overcast but it ended up clearing a little more by the time that we made it to the bridge.

Our rooms were right at the front of the boat, which was fun but also super windy.  Cambrie was loving her Papa telling her all about the buildings, boats and views.
