I can no longer put away laundry when C is around she just asks to wear certain clothes or makes me put on certain clothes.  She definitely knows what clothes belong to me and what clothes belong to her father.

07-09-12: This is a special picture to me, she loves this red and white dress (it is the dress that she wore when meeting Mickey Mouse) and refused to part with it during one of our nightly walks.  She outgrew the dress awhile ago and I had it in a box in the office and she just kept taking it out of the box.  It is now at Payton's house for her to wear :)

She had a rough drop-off at KinderCare this morning, usually she gets there in time to eat breakfast and assimilate to the room (she doesn't do well just jumping into play/activity), but this day her friends were outside having music class.  And there were tears.  It made me sad.  But, by the time I got to my car and took a picture, she was good to go.  See her cute little head sitting on the ground?

She loves stickers and always needs to put them on her face :)

Cold Stones with Papa and Grammie

The other weekend my parents came down to Cotati to visit us and we decided to go to ice cream at Cold Stones for a special treat.  Cambrie received her own kids cup of Strawberry ice cream and she got to eat Papa's red cherry from his sundae too...lucky girl!

Family BBQ in Petaluma

We attended a BBQ for Damon's friends family a few weekends ago.  Cambrie really enjoyed running around playing with the dogs, cuddling with her grandma and eating food.  Lots of food.  She is quite the eater, especially when it comes to eating meat.  I swear she is quite the carnivore, if she turns out to be a vegetarian when she is older I will be shocked beyond belief.  Haha!

Apparently she also loves dessert...

The majority of the time Cambrie was playing in the horseshoe pit, she loves running around playing with the sand.

These pictures really show to me how big and old Cambrie is looking lately.  She is just getting so tall and her features are changing, again.  I just cannot keep up with her constant growth, but, like Damon always says, the only constant with her is change and each day she is older than the next.

Cambra Family Fish Fry

My dad got back from Alaska from a three week trip visiting my Uncle Dave and we couldn't wait to get together for a large family dinner.  We met after work at my grandparents house and the girls had a great time playing and seeing their Papa.

My grandparents have a large covered patio and it is nice to be able to play outside without worrying about the sun.  Cambrie is really into her imaginative play and all the little toys in the house were right up her alley.

Cambrie is starting to understand that Auntie has a baby in her belly, it is super cute.  It'll be interesting to see how she is when her latest cousin arrives.  We hope that all the 'gentle hands' talk that we have been having will pay off! 

Avery's Big Girl Bed

As a parent, every once in a while you get a glimpse into what your future will be like.  The day that Cambrie and I went to see Avery's big girl bed was one of those moments.  I had visions of these two giddy girls having sleepovers when they are older, each begging their mother to go see their cousin at their aunts house, each coming home tired from staying up all night talking.  

Sleepovers where one girl is sleeping and the other girl is not...

Sleepovers with laughter so full that it makes your belly hurt...

 

Sleepovers where staying in someone else's bed for the evening makes you smile...

Sleepovers where you wake up with a smile on your face to see that your friend is still there...

Sleepovers where memories are made...

 

It'll be so fun when they actually get to have sleepovers together!
