Alaska Cruise - Part One

It feels very intimidating to attempt to blog our Alaska trip - it seems like so much has changed since then and I haven't even organized my photos!

Obviously, it was a memorable trip for many reasons.  I was just telling Damon that I am kinda sad looking back on the photos since it will most likely have been the last cruise with the 11 of us :(  But, at the same time we are super fortunate that we have been able to spend so much time with my grandparents on the 'big boat.'

Kris drove us to the airporter (it is so nice taking the airporter to the port) and we really appreciated her help.

The room was the exact same as the last two, in fact, the boats were exactly the same as the last two cruises so we all knew our way around pretty well. Unfortunately our rooms were all over the boat this year.  My sister and her crew had a big suite at the back of the boat on deck 10, then the rest of us had mini-suites on deck 9 (plus our room was a few doors down from my parents/grandparents.)  There was a mixup with my room and I was so upset about it, but it ended up being fine. 

My sisters balcony was even bigger and better this time - we all got a lot of use out of it.  

Thinking back on our first cruise with the littles (they were 8 months, 2 and 3), it is so much more relaxing now :)  We just let them play in the room while we hung out outside.  Having independence is great for all of us!

One of my goals during the cruise was to take as many pictures of my grandparents as possible.  I think that I did pretty well considering that they don't love their photos being taken.

LT loved the binoculars, he is such a sweet and funny little guy.
