Girls Weekend 2009

Wow...busy week. This is my first evening home in a while and I am spending it catching up on housework with Damon. I know, romantic. This past weekend was girls weekend...a much needed quick getaway with Morgan, Meredith and Darcy (we missed you Lisa and Dana). It is SO difficult to get the six of us together. We still all haven't been together to celebrate Lisa's engagement...maybe we will all celebrate at her wedding. Ha! It was also hard finding a location that was close to home, not too expensive and had the accomodations that we desired. Thankfully we found something perfect and had a great time together.
We stayed at a house just off of River Road in Forestville/Guernville next to Sunset beach on the Russian River. It only took about 15 minutes to get there from work, but I felt like we were much further away than that! Morgan and I left after work on Friday and Meredith and Darcy arrived around 11:00. We thought we would go to bed, but we ended up staying up until past 1:00 talking. After sleeping in and chatting some more in the morning, we headed out to the beach. A short 2 minute walk from the house. It was a great beach and lots of action from the canoe groups. In addition to the great company, there was great food. Such as wine and a pie from Betty's Bakery. Yum!

And Morgan's famous "puppy chow." Double Yum!

Making our way to the beach...

Our "jungle juice" mixture....vodka, cranberry, sprite, champagne and pineapple juice. It was super good and we enjoyed a beverage (or two), just because we could.

It was like Spring Break in Chico on Beer Can beach...Russian River style. There were a ton a big groups with decorated canoes and costumes. All of a sudden I turned around and saw all the crowds...

Our beautiful bartenders...

More partiers...

The guy under the red umbrella closest to the trees was wearing a mullet wig, really?

This guy was really excited that I was taking his photo. He posed for me while he passed our beach camp and I felt obligated to take his photo.

Back to the house...

Sometimes time with girlfriends is just what the doctor ordered...thanks girls, love you all!

Mexico Day 5 Part Two

I don't have anytime to provide captions for the photos on this post from Cabo (hopefully I will add them tomorrow), but let me just say that it is a great beautiful place. All of these pictures are unedited, I cannot wait to start working some Photoshop magic and see what I can come up with. Maybe one of these days I will actually get caught up on photo editing!
