Taco Dinner Night 7.24.07

Damon and I had our parents and the Reverend Dave over for a Taco Dinner last week and Leana and Ryanne joined us for dessert) It is always great to get the family together and enjoy a good meal over good conversation. As usual, I didn't get too many people pictures...but there were a lot of doggie and baby pictures!

Shasta and Ryanne love each other soooo much, and the following picture makes me laugh every time I see it! Just priceless!!!

After everyone left, Damon and I noticed that Shasta was missing in action, so I went to go find her and make sure she wasn't doing anything wrong. I should have know better! Shasta tore up a stuffed animal....this is what I saw when I rounded the corner to the stairs.

Shasta immediately ran up the stairs and looked at me with her "what did I do mom?" look.

This is her "ut oh, I know that I am in trouble now" look.

Little River Inn for a Little Weekend Retreat

Damon, the kids and I enjoyed a fabulous weekend at the fabulous Little River Inn in Mendocino for our one year anniversary last weekend. The four of us enjoyed the beautiful weather, views and company...it was quite a memorable time.

The only picture of Damon and I isn't too cute, but it was taken on the balcony of our spectacular room. We really need to work on training Shasta and Cy to take our photos.

We ordered a small version of our wedding cake to eat (since we ate the top of the cake the day after...it was just too good to resist) and it was AMAZING!!! I thought Damon was so sweet...he wanted to feed each other the first piece, just like at the wedding. Look at the pictures below to see the aftermath of his "sweetness."

Yes...that is Damon's hand full of wedding cake smothered all over my face, what a darling husband I have.

The pictures above, and below, show the breathtaking view from our balcony.

Below are the pictures from the long drive home down Highway 1. Our poor little daughter got car sick on the way up and the way back, but she was such a trooper.

A special thank you to Liz, who gave Damon and I a gift certificate at the Little River Inn for our wedding present...it was a wonderful way to spend our one year anniversary. :)

Celebrating One Year

Today, Damon and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary. With the current events in my life, it was a good time to take a step back and evaluate all that we have accomplished in our first year as an official couple. We truly are grateful for everyone who helped make our wedding the wonderful day that it was, and we are continuously thankful for those who help to enrich our lives as a married couple. Below are some of our favorite wedding pictures...I know that the blog has become full of pictures, but they do tell a great story (such as what 115 degrees feels like!)...

The end (that is, until next year!)
