Mulreath Pumpkin Patch

We love the cowboy dinner at Mulreath Pumpkin Patch and went with both my parents and my friends this year.

This was quite the self timer feat gone wrong...the camera got moved but we didn't want to do it again because Justin literally ran and bounded up the haystack in about 2 seconds.  Gotta love my friends, their men and their babies.

These girls make me smile and make me feel normal - I can never repay them enough for that.

Roasting our marshmellows!

Many tries of group photo fails with 6 kiddos 4 and under :)

I really like Halloween as the start of fall and that there are so many activities going on to keep our calendar full of friends and family.

Dapper Day - Part Three

My pictures from the trip are all over the place, my apologizes.  But here are some pics from Tenaya that I wanted to share as well.

At the expo they had a little photo display all set up.

Amy and I are slated the aliens with Buzz :)

And climbing up the Matterhorn in our dresses!

Gotta love the Disneyland Hotel lobby - complete with teacups.

Amy and Tenaya stayed until Sunday, but I went home on Saturday.  They sent me all of their photos and I loved seeing the pics that they took when I wasn't there.  Look how cute they are...

It was fun seeing everyone dressed up around the park.  The home videos of my grandparents with my mom at Disneyland had all the ladies dressed like this.  My grandma was in her heels and pearls, I just imagined how cool it must've been back then.

This picture sums up Amy - she just started dancing down the street, skipping with a happy heart.  Love that!

We were in Disney the week after the Valley Fires started.  Tenaya's husband in a Cal Fire Chief and she has been involved in the fire world her entire life.  I learned so much from her that weekend and am so very proud of the sacrifice that she and other make.

Amy follows this gal on instagram - she is a famous pin-up model.  We ran into her and her friends on Friday night at the hotel bar.  We weren't too impressed with her behavior and her trying to pull her 'quasi celebrity' card.  We saw her at the expo and thought of saying hello, but we weren't really feeling it.  But on Saturday Amy ran into her in the courtyard and they struck on a conversation - she was much nicer that day :)

And one final pic of us at Minnies breakfast...

I had a lovely time with my friends and am so very happy that they included me in their trip.  Spending time with other amazing women makes me stronger, happier and, overall, a better wife and mom.  I appreciate everything that they taught me, shared with me and the laughter that we shared.

Until next time!

Dapper Days - Part Two

Tenaya let me borrow her cute Minnie Mouse ears so I looked a little more festive - thanks friend!

Here is the monorail conductor, he was really nice and I loved sitting in the front on the way in, I felt so fancy.

There are many little areas of Disneyland that are breathtaking.  I love walking through the Moments with Lincoln area and looking at the historical maps.

My quasi Dapper dress, polka dots with one of my great grandmothers broaches :)

After going on some rides for most of the morning, we headed to the Dapper Day expo back at the hotel.  We shopped for quite awhile and I learned alot about vintage clothing.  I really liked it all and even bought a few things myself.  Here is Amy modeling her adorable skirt with drawings from the same famous lady named Mary who drew parts of Its a Small World characters.  She is a really big deal in the Dapper Day world and I loved looking at her creations from decades ago that are now on clothing.

After resting at the hotel we headed back to the parks, this time to CA Adventure one of many glasses on bubbly.  It was all kinds of amazing :)

There were lots of great things that happened that afternoon...we met a cool ticket booth guy named Ty who made us cry some happy tears and who took a picture with Tenaya but first needed to use a certain photo filter, we helped a fellow gal dressed up pin her dress that ripped while we were leaving a excellent customer service note for Ty, we danced at the Mad Tea Party were I filmed a silly video for C when they were playing her favorite song.  The list goes on.

At dark we headed across the street to enjoy the evening entertainment.  The new parade and fireworks show was AMAZING - cannot wait to see it again next month!

Two cute girls on Dumbo holding a stuffed Dumbo :)

And another spin on the tea cups before calling it a night!

After sleeping for less than 6 hours were were back for more on Saturday.  The highlight of the trip was our character breakfast at Minnie's.  Oh my goodness, the characters were hilarious with us and we had the best time.  Our stomachs hurt from laughing and I am sure all the other patrons thought our OJ was served with a side of vodka.  But we were enjoying ourselves and the experience and it was amazing.  That is what I love about Disney - you can be a kid and get so much joy out of simple things.

This day Tenaya was dressed like Ariel and Amy like Tinkerbelle.  Someone asked who I was dressed like and we decided I was the talking flowers in Alice in Wonderland :)

Captain Hook liked to 'fight' with Amy - they had quite a routine down.  And two Captain Hooks came by to see us and both equally sparred with her.

Rafikki was hilarious.  First her proposed to Tink, then he lead Tenaya through the restaurant.  We had no clue where he was taking her.  Then he grabbed a fork for her and a fork for him to comb their hair since she was dressed as Ariel.  It was too funny!

And then he confused the heck out of us....he had me turn around then he dropped to his knee behind me and stretched out his names to my butt.  We were SO confused.  He asked for a pen.  Of course, we didn't have one.  He found one and wrote 'Simba' down....it made so much more sense.  By this time were were all laughing and crying and howling.  It was too much.

Another fabulous story was a video and photo that Captain Hook took of himself on my phone.  It was epic, I'll have to grab it later to share.  It is pretty epic.

And now, our cute Tink in front of her Tink pumpkin.
