Family Game Night

One thing that we loved about Penngrove when looking for schools were the family fun nights/activities on their school calendar.  We try to make as many as possible!

Damon remembers going to similar evenings at his school when he was growing up.  Naturally he loved the math nights :)  This particular night was focused on math games - so clearly both he and C were excited!

I am so happy to see C excel in math during first grade - I think that it is her favorite subject!

Farm Bureau Crab Feed

Another year, another Farm Bureau Crab Feed - but this year with a special guest appearance from Avery.  Avery loves crab and we were able to get another ticket and were so happy to get to add her into our tradition.

Cute girls!

Damons parents were also able to join us and we had fun sharing our tradition with them as well.

The event is huge...I can only imagine what it felt like for the girls.

They did a wonderful job hanging out, coloring and partaking in the event.  I was really proud of them!

C also had the opportunity to raise our bidders paddle this year...we donated to the Ag scholarships and she got to say her name and age in the microphone.

Overall, it was a lovely event and I was so happy to have the girls with us to celebrate our community.

Damons Bucket List Concert

Damon has always wanted to see John Hiatt in concert so when we discovered he was coming to the Luther Burbank Center I got tickets for him for Christmas.  He was very excited and I was just happy to be going along with him and his happiness.    We went out for drinks before hand and enjoyed a long evening together.

The concert was amazing!  John sang by himself for a set and played the guitar, piano and harmonica.    Then his band from 20 years ago came onstage and played the album they recorded 20 years ago from start to finish.  It was a cool way to experience the album (an album that I only knew one or two songs from).

Not only was the music good, but we also felt amazingly good being some of the youngest people in the room where they were selling records :)

Tahoe - Part Three

Another day full of smiles while sledding!

Little brothers walking up the hill together holding hands :)

They started getting a little more adventurous with their sledding configurations as the day went on too.

My girl just isn't into good pictures these days...she much prefers silly faces.  Gotta love first grade :(

The newlyweds :)

Sweet girls watching a movie all comfy cozy together.

Tahoe - Part Four

After a cozy afternoon we got ready for an adventure at Scott and Lisa's property at Martis Camp.  Look at this amazing park - nicest park I have ever been to!

From there we headed to the family barn on the property for dinner, drinks and fun.  This was the kiddos table :)

This place is amazing and blew my mind in so many ways.

Included in the building were toddler play areas, a gym with basketball and shuffleboard, a bowling alley, pool table, art area (with a kiln!) and a movie theatre.  The kids of all ages were in heaven.

The best part was that we had the barn to ourselves the majority of the time...thankfully it was a slow Sunday night, since there were 17 of us!

Wes was so cute showing us around, he was a really good host.

Seriously, how dreamy is this place!?!?

Back at the house the kiddos were sad that it was there last night for friend sleepovers - they all did so great playing together and having sleepovers.  I was super proud of all of them.

We headed home the next morning with some lovely fresh snow and plenty of memories to last us until next time :)
