Number 89: Completed

Today I mailed a care package to EJ, one of Howli's volunteers from North Carolina and a member of the National Guard who is getting ready to make a second tour to Iraq. I decided that it might be fun to send a package to someone that someone I love cares about, instead of a random. So, number 89 on my list is completed! The package included some star cookies, almond roca, health roca, oatmeal cranberry cookies and an assortment of magazines. I hope that EJ and his friends enjoy it as a small token of appreciation for their services.

Donner Lake Part Three

This is the final post of our fun three-day weekend at Donner. On Saturday we visited Scheels and Cabelas in search of finding Damon the perfect Valentine's present, an archery bow. Scheels was a huge fun store, it was a little overwhelming, because it is an all outdoors store, as opposed to just a hunting store. The boys were excited because of the ferris wheel inside, so of course we had to have a ride.

Trenton decided that he wanted to ride with me and Casen wanted to ride when Damon, we had fun.

We played the fun shooting games too.

And enjoyed the fishies...

Then it was off to Cabela's where Damon ended up purchasing a beautiful bow, I was so proud of him for making a decision!

I do enjoy Cabela's, it is such a fun store.

While Damon and Randy went back to pick up the bow on Sunday, Michelle and I braved the snow with the boys. We played right at the foot of our condo's stairs...the location was just great.

It had snowed alot more on Saturday, poor Casen and Trenton had a hard time walking around.

I cannot believe that I am posting this crusty first thing in the morning photo, but it shows who my little buddy was all weekend. Trenton was so excited to see me every morning, he would run up to me with his arms up. He was quite the cuddle bug. In fact, when we got home on Monday the phone rang, and it was Trenton, calling to tell me that he loved me. Too adorable.

Donner Lake Part Two

All the following pictures are from Saturday morning sledding at the Boca Dam. It was a great place for sledding, the perfect hill and the perfect spot for the doggies to run around without their leashes on. Just to prove that I really was there, here is one photo of me:

The Tahoe covered in snow from the Friday night storm...

There were ice fishermen on the lake...they were fun to watch. I have never seen that in person.

Shasta loved sledding down the hill with Damon, in almost every picture of Damon sledding, Shasta isn't far behind.

Damon and Randy decided to race down the hill, unfortunately Damon crashed and burned about half way down.

Randy crashed and burned too, but at the bottom of the hill!
