Bay Area Discovery Museum

Two weeks ago Cambrie, Leana Charlotte and Ryanne all headed down to the Bay Area Discovery Museum for a fun morning.  While Ryanne and Leana went to grab some coffee the C cousins said hello to one another.

We arrived right when it opened which was perfect - it was before all the summer kids camps arrived.

Cambrie loves the 'big bridge' and just recently noticed that we have a large print of it in our house.

Ryanne was so sweet and patient with Cambrie...since all that C does is follow Ryanne around.

The main exhibit hall is different everytime that we go.  This time was all about artists and paintings.  Not as much fun as the princess dress-up exhibit but they still had a good time.

Cannot believe that she will be 7 in 3 weeks!

C found a quite moment to sit by herself and read some books.  I sat across from her and just stared.  I watched the way she looked at each page and talked to herself about what she saw.  She retreated into her own little world.  I love watching her during rare quite moments like this.  So sweet and innocent.

We just finished up another music class sesison and I am still amazed at C's musical talents.  She has a great memory and knows the words to so many songs.  With the songs that she doesn't know, she will learn the chorus to sing or the rhythm to hum by the end.  I love her little musical nature and seeing her cultivate it throughout the week is awesome.  Although, Ryanne really wanted to play music by herself and Cambrie wanted to play with Ryanne.  Heehee - the older cousin/younger cousin battles are already starting.  :)

Peggy Sue's Car Cruise

On a very warm Saturday a few weekends ago my family met in downtown Santa Rosa to watch the annual Peggy Sue's Car Cruise.  Just like last year, the girls loved loved loved it.  Next year my dad will be entering a car and the girls probably won't be able to contain their excitement :)

These two girls are just the best of friends...

C did a great job feeding Landon his snacks while eating most of them herself as well.

I was super tired by this time in the evening, I had photographed a wedding that day in the blazing 100 degree sun.  I was probably the most sweaty that I have ever been...carrying all my gear, working my hardest to capture all flurry of the wedding day.  I ever sent Damon a self picture of myself.  It was scary!!!  But, the pictures were phenomenal and that was all that mattered.

Hopefully we will get a bigger crew with us next year to enjoy!

Ladies and Babies Swim Day

About two weeks ago the ladies and babies met at Meredith's community pool for an afternoon of fun in the sun.  Cami is getting SO big - this was Cambrie's first time meeting her and as usual she was obsessed with the baby.  She is so sweet with the little ones and thankfully there are lots of little ones around for her to give attention to.

The pool in her neighborhood is awesome.  There is a big one foot pool, a bigger pool that only goes up to 4.5 feet and a spa.  As we left Cambrie said 'bye-bye big pool, bye-bye little pool and bye-bye baby pool.'

It was funny, C was a little unsure about the baby pool.  I think that she felt weird being able to walk in it.  So after a snack we went into the big pool where you could jump and kick and I could carry her.

We multitasked pretty well with handling 4 kiddos 2.5 and under with 3 adults.  It is nice that all of our children are comfortable with all the adults so passing off it easy.

My little sweet swimmer...

It was a super fun day spent with our favorite friends...we hope to make a lot more swim dates in the future :)

Cattlemen's Dinner Date

A few weekends ago we had a little family dinner date at Cattlemen's.  It was really hot that weekend, so there were alot of people out.  We always come prepared with lots of activities for Cambrie - and many times they keep us occupied too :)

C is doing really well tracing letters and recognizing words.  Tonight in a book she knew the word Alaska.  She loves seeing her name and asked us to write it about 100 times a day.

There was another little girl at the table next to us that had a 'special drink' and C asked for one too.  We couldn't resist so we ordered her a strawberry daiquiri - she was mostly just excited about the cherry on the top.

After dinner we played outside on the bench for a few minutes and a super nice guy walked by and gave C his birthday hat.  He disappeared before we could properly thank him.  C loved it!

It was nice to have a family date night - it had been awhile since we went out to dinner with just the three of us.
