Peggy Sue's Car Cruise

We have tried to attend Peggy Sue's Car Cruise every year, it is a fun event Fathers Day weekend in Santa Rosa.  We have missed a few years over the last decade, and each time seems to hold more memories that the time before.  Here are some that were blogged in in 2013, 2009, 2008, 2007.

Landon loves 'hot rods' and keep pointing and shouting at them :)

Papa was teaching the girls how to wave...

After some snacks and getting used to the lay of the land, we all hopped in our cars and took a cruise around.  The parade route was much longer this year and we all had a lovely time.  Here is my mom with her sweet coworkers:

And these three cousins causing trouble in the Camaro:

Krystina and her family joined us as well and we were excited to have James come in the car with us too!

So exciting to not have carseats or seat belts!!!

Cambrie really liked driving by The Press Democrat and hearing stories about when I worked their with Papa Tim.

Kris and Loren put in their Bronco (a new car for them) as well...

Parade route #2 with the daddies:

The night went by really quickly since the loops around the parade route took so long.  Hard to believe how small the event was back when it first started!  C absolutely loved being in the parade and often sings songs about downtown Santa Rosa and old cars.  She is certainly one lucky little girl to have old car collectors on all sides of her family - hopefully her excitement for them will continue as she gets older :)

Bodega Bay Adventures

A few weeks ago the 4 of us headed over to Bodega Bay for me to complete a commissioned photography project.  I always love being able to bring my family along with me to 'work.' We made a full day of it and had a great time.  It was Memorial Day weekend so the coastline was nice and busy.  I love seeing tourism in our little corner of the world.

Shasta was also able to join us on the fun and she really enjoyed her car ride.

Oh, and then there was this silly face...

It made me sad when I realized that I hadn't taken a picture of Shasta in awhile.  She is such a pretty dainty dog.  Such a good girl who is still a big part of our life.  Even though I might not blog about her as much now with Cambrie in our life, but Shasta is still a part of everything that we do.  She still sleeps in our bed, goes on our family walks with us, and is obsessed with Damon waiting eagerly for the sound of his truck rounding the corner.  :)

C was busy making pies...blueberry pies to be specific.  I loved making pies when I was little.

At first C was afraid of the water, but then she got into it.

Shasta also had a fun time chasing the waves...

I read a quote the other day about not spending your money on things, but on experiences.  It is so true.  Damon and I talk about it often - just how much fun Cambrie has experiencing life.  We try our best to introduce her to different people, different things and different cultures.  She is just a well natured, happy girl.  We are so lucky to experience life with her.

As we ventured around Bodega Bay I took a variety of photos for my assignment and for my own little collection.

We stopped to have lunch at Damon's cousins' spot, Fishetarian, and it was awesome, as always.

These two...

My little reader, still loves books and magazines (Highlights Hidden Pictures Club is a current favorite).  She is now getting to the point where she tells stories based on the pictures and her memory.  It is kinda amazing to watch her little mind work.

At the link is one of my photos from the day featured on the California Wine and Travel Facebook page.
