Random Pictures

Cambrie and I joined Vicki, Alex, Julia, Michelle, Casen and Trenton for lunch at El Torito followed by a round of bowling last week. It was nice to get out of the heat in the cool bowling alley. There are so many activities for Cambrie to look forward to actually participating in in the future.

Super weird and blurry photo, but that is what happens when a seven year old is behind the camera :)

We also met my girlfriends (plus Noah and Justin) up in Healdsburg for lunch last week at the Healdsburg Bar and Grill. It was a super yummy lunch with my best girlies.

Second Music Class with Avery

My Canon G12 is acting all goofy on me, sometimes the photos have lines on them and look like they are from the 1970's like the one below:

For the second music class with Avery we learned and sang about animals, which, is a subject that Avery is very well versed in. So, naturally she was quite a hit in the class with her exceptional knowledge for a 16 month old.

My little patient girl waiting for class to begin (love this outfit on her!)

During one of the dancing portions of the day, Alicia danced with Cambrie since Theresa, Geoff's mom, as attended the class and danced with Avery.

When the teacher was showing the class flash cards with animals, Avery was very excited for the 'meow-meow' and ran right up to it with such excitement we all couldn't help but smile.

What a fun class it was - we are looking forward to next weeks. More pictures to come :)

Swimming with the Straubs

With Michelle off from work this summer, we have been taking full advantage of being able to spend time together and with our kiddos too. Once recent adventure was meeting at one of the local Rohnert Park pools for an open swim afternoon. It was blazing hot since I wasn't used to the sun, due to all the crazy California June rain.

Cambrie just loves her friends who happen to be boys (it sounds weird to say boy friends). They make her smile constantly.

My little summer baby dressed to an adorable outfit from her Auntie Howli :)

First Music Class with Avery

On June 16th Cambrie and I started our music class with Alicia and Avery. We were SO excited!

The class started with some free time playing with different puzzles, books and fabrics.

And then we got to play with lots of different instruments...tapping, rubbing, scratching to the beat of the music.

During class we always complete several different activities, dance around the room and then have some quiet time that sometimes includes bubbles :)

Avery was very very happy to be there :)

But, we don't know if she was more excited about the music activities or the 'baby'

Although my little is still too small to be able to play with the toys like Avery does, she still really likes the special time with me and I can tell that she is learning sooo much, which makes it all worthwhile :)

Cedarville Weekend - Part Five

Pictures from dinner...

After dinner we relaxed on the porch and Cambrie was just happier than a clam, she just loves being outside and observing the world.

The final group photo of the fabulous weekend away :)

Diana and Will's Engagement Pictures

I haven't linked back to my photography blog in a while and there is no better time than the present. This morning I finally blogged the images of Diana and Will's engagement photo session.

Aren't they the cutest?

We had a great early evening, despite my little girl crying up a storm. She just wanted to be a part of the action with her momma :)

Cedarville Weekend - Part Four

Some pictures playing with the girls from Sunday morning...

Avery's hair stayed in the pigtails for about .2 seconds, glad that I was able to capture her hairdo before she realized what was going on!

We walked to a park a few blocks away from the house and walked by the oldest building in Cedarville...

I showed Avery about dandelions and she was excited to make 'bubbles' :)

Back at the house we had some lunch and played outside until the squirrel shooters returned.

After taking a late shower, I came back to my camo loves sleeping on an old wagon in the backyard.

Before the afternoon squirrel shooting session, Damon and I took Cambrie and Shasta to explore more of the downtown. It is fun to see a completely different way of living. Simple is an understatement.
