Family BBQ at the Cabin

Two weeks ago Geoff's parents were in town visiting, so we had a family BBQ at the cabin. I was bummed because I was double booked that day, but I was able to attend the first half of the first event and the second half of the second event. Too busy too busy :)

Alicia and Geoff opened a bottle of special wine that they were supposed to share on their one year wedding anniversary but, since she was pregnant with Avery they decided to wait until their second year. But, they were busy moving into their new home and getting settled into Alicia's classroom on their second year anniversary...so September 12th was the special wine day.

Miss Avery loved the extra attention of both sets of her grandparents, and her great-grandparents too. (I love that her hair is getting longer - the clips are so cute!)

Damon got up at one point and I thought he was going to get something to drink, but he just plopped himself down next to Avery on the floor playing with her. He just melts my heart on a daily basis.

Avery is movin' and scootin' all over the place...Damon had a hard time keeping her on the mat.

Geoff and his mom...

Just love having family so close to us...it makes for a busy schedule, but a good schedule.

Gender Reveal Videos

I am taking my free evening (high school reunion meeting was cancelled) to catch up on my own photos and videos, not my clients, and am setting up posted to publish for the rest of the week. It feels so nice to get things all caught up and organized (well, at least all caught up and organized on the personal photo front - I don't even want to start to think about the rest of my life or the rest of my house. Haha.)

Back at the end of July the Cambra family met at the usual location, Round Table, for lunch. I love getting together with my dad's brothers and sister, I seriously have the best family ever. We purchased the same photo album for each couple that we gave our families and videotaped the reaction of everyone discovering that I was 14 weeks pregnant. So much fun!

And this is the video of sharing the girl news with our family on August 26th...

Tigers Football Game

Yesterday morning during the light rain shower, Michelle, Casen, Trenton and I joined Vicki at the Montgomery High School football field to cheer on her husband as a coach, her son as a football player and her daughter as a cheerleader. It was so much fun and I was shocked at how serious and professional everything was with the 5 - 8 years olds. There was a full snack bar, an announcer and even some parent/coach fights. But, there was a ton of adorableness too that I was lucky to catch with my big ol' zoom lens.

Julie is the on the left hand side of the photo below, the coach is patting her on the head.

She spotted me right away and would throw lots of smiles in my direction :)

And Alex looked perfect in his football uniform...he is in the middle of the photo below, number 12, with bare legs.

I knew quite a few of Julia's cheers and then they were stuck in my head all day long...just like the high school days.

Halftime show...

Proud papa...

Look at the size difference between Alex and another team player! The weight range is 40ish to 80ish pounds, which is quite a big difference. Michelle said that Casen and Trenton could have both played on the same team this year and they are three years apart.

I was really impressed with Alex's aggressiveness on the field, he did a great job on defense.

Mama sporting the family jersey...

Players receive stickers based on how many tackles they have...Alex has 13 for the season so far :)

It was a fabulous way to start off my Sunday morning, despite the rain and my sore bleacher bum :)

Number 51 Completed

Yesterday at work I was able to complete one more goal off of my 101 in 1,001 list and I got CPR/First Aid certified. I had previously signed up through the Rancho Adobe CPR class, but they kept on canceling the class due to participation. I would still love to get CERT certified, but part of me to too scared to learn about all the things that can go wrong in life.

Now, let's just see if I keep up the certification every two years...haha.

Number 42 Completed

On Friday night I was surrounded by some of my favorite people and watched a fabulous Pixar movie, Up, in the park. I have always wanted to see a movie in the park and it was seriously one of the best Friday nights that I have had in a while :)

Michelle, Casen, Trenton, Leana and Ryanne all joined in on the fun at Howarth Park. The battery in my point and shoot was dying, so I apologize for this goofy photo of Ryanne...but she was so excited to watch a movie with her new 'pillow pet.' She was excited to get some goodies compliments of Auntie Lissa, which included a glow necklace. What a sweetie pie she is.

Casen and Trenton were also fun to be around, they both asked to cuddle with me during the movie. They are such sweet lovin' boys. Not quite sure where Casen's goofy hat came from in the pictures :)

I hope to continue attending movie in the parks in the future (although the movie in the parks seasons are practically finished for the year), it was a fun free family event.

Thomas Wedding

The last weekend in August, my family and I headed to Sacramento for my cousin's wedding. We were excited to spend a night away from home and hang out with my fabulous family members from Calistoga (the same clan we celebrate our big Christmas Eve events with like the one I hosted last year). Plus, the wedding was just drop dead gorgeous.
Levi was so happy the entire night, it is amazing what changes can result in a person when they are in love.

Levi's parents and grand-daughter, Brianna.

This is how my Damon sits with his cowboy boots :)

Damon and I (well, and Baby M who is 21 weeks)...

I have no clue who this cutie is, but she is too adorable not to share!

Damon gave me the shock of my life and drank several glasses of wine that night...something he has never done in the past six years of knowing him. This is definitely a wine induced smile :)

They had a candy bar and a photo booth...lots of activities for everyone to enjoy!

The majority of the guests stayed at the Hyatt Place (the same hotel I raved about from our trip to see Gary Allan in Utah), so the morning after the wedding we had another mini-family celebration in the hotel lobby.
