Memorial Day weekend we took our first trip to Sonoma to visit Traintown. Ever since Cambrie discovered trains at Disneyland, she loves train books, yelling choo-choo and playing with her wooden trains at home.
What is really nice about Traintown is that the admission is free, you only pay for the rides that you ride, so it was nice to be able to leave once C was ready for her nap.
A train was pulling up right when we arrived, so we decided to take advantage and hop on.
As much as C loves trains, she was a little apprehensive out the situation. The train was loud and there was alot to look at, but there were no tears and there were still smiles, so it was a success all round.
Quite possibly the funniest photo ever...terrified baby girl in the dark and loud tunnel! LOL....
The favorite part of the train ride was stopping off at the little town and playing in all the buildings, first we went to church...
Then we went to school...
Then to the store...
Then to the bar, where Damon said ' We want beer!'
Cambrie's version of 'We want beer'...
We also said hello to some of the petting zoo animals as well...
Once the train ride was over we went to the top of the train tower to take in the views.
And rode some of the kiddie rides...
As Damon was putting in the quarter for the ride to start, I warned him that it would probably start moving pretty fast and that C would get scared.
I was right...
So, not to waste the quarter, Damon just joined her on the horse :)
Her favorite part of the day was running through the train cars with us. We paused for a moment and took a family self portrait.
It was definitely a fun morning for my sweet little family of three - we will be back soon!
